Our health and safety management system is aligned with ISO 45001 and underpinned by continuous training, monitoring and improvement.

Health & safety management

Structured systems that support safe delivery

Our Health & Safety Management System provides a clear framework for planning, delivering and monitoring all works. It is fully integrated with our quality and environmental processes, and it is applied consistently across all projects regardless of size or complexity.

  • ISO 45001-aligned Health & Safety management framework.
  • Project-specific Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans where applicable.
  • Task and activity-based RAMS issued, briefed and signed off prior to works.
  • Regular safety meetings, toolbox talks and site inductions.
  • Formal near-miss and incident reporting with corrective actions tracked.

Everyone has a role in staying safe

Directors & management

Set the health and safety policy, provide resources, appoint competent persons and review performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement.

Project managers & supervisors

Lead by example on site, ensure RAMS are implemented, coordinate with other contractors and stop works where unsafe conditions are identified.

Employees & operatives

Follow safe systems of work, use PPE correctly, report hazards and participate in training and safety briefings.

Subcontractors & partners

Selected based on competency and required to work to Flesk Electrical’s standards, procedures and site rules at all times.

Training & competence

Competent people using safe systems of work

We invest in the ongoing development of our teams so that everyone working under Flesk Electrical understands the risks associated with their tasks and knows how to control them.

  • Mandatory inductions for all new employees and subcontractors.
  • Regular trade-specific training and upskilling programmes.
  • Safe Pass, CSCS and other statutory training maintained and recorded.
  • Supervisor and manager training in leadership, RAMS and incident management.
  • Refresher training scheduled based on role, risk and legislative changes.

Working in live environments

Careful planning and phasing of works in hospitals, schools, banks and hotels to minimise disruption and maintain safe operation of critical services.

Permits & isolations

Strict lock-out/tag-out procedures, permits to work and isolation protocols for high-risk activities and works near live services.

Housekeeping & welfare

Clean, organised work areas with appropriate access, lighting and welfare facilities, supporting both safety and productivity on site.
